**** We Can Really Beat this Loser ****
Here are 14 reasons why:
1. His true, unstable nature is showing
Yes, Baby Fingers is not right and he has been “not right” for this entire term. Heck he wasn’t right when he was running! But it is getting worse, and while it isn’t good to have him running the country, it is going to help us beat him in 2020.
Trump is melting down. Again.
Uh-oh. President Trump is in such a state of panic about his dimming reelection prospects that he’s getting his lies mixed up and occasionally blurting out the truth.
“It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if it’s competing with a very good company [Samsung] that’s not,” the president told reporters Sunday — flatly contradicting the ridiculous and utterly false narrative that he has spent months trying to sell. Trump apparently forgot his standard lie that China is somehow paying “billions of dollars” in tariffs, acknowledging instead that they are taxes paid by U.S. companies and, ultimately, the American consumer.
This reflects more than just the difficulty of juggling multiple lies. Evidence suggests that Trump is melting down. Again.
2. He has no record to run on
Usually an incumbent president wins, in part, by bragging about what he accomplished. That is going to be tough for the Orange Menace:
Trump’s economic record is one big con
President Trump came into office promising some fabulous yet unspecified health-care plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. No plan existed; every plan Republicans came up with managed to reduce the number of insured.
Trump promised never to cut entitlements; his fiscal 2020 budget proposal would have done just that.
Trump said he’d bring back manufacturing. In fact, it slowed and now has slumped.
Trump said he’d get tough on drug companies. He hasn’t.
He said his tax cut would be aimed at the middle class, deliver $4,000 a year to the average American family and permanently boost business investment, pushing growth above 3 percent.
Nope, nope and nope.
Honestly, the ads write themselves….
3. The economy is in trouble and that is ALL he had going for him
I don’t want the economy to fall apart because I actually care about people who would be affected, but even if things don’t tank, there is really no way for it to go from here but down. And even a little bit down is REALLY bad news for Cheeto Chosen One
Roughly Half of Trump Voters Would At Least Partially Blame Him for a Recession
Voters would overwhelmingly pin an economic recession on Trump, according to a Morning Consult/Politico poll
Notably, Trump faces pressure from his own supporters, as well. Just shy of half (49 percent) of those who voted for Trump in 2016 would hold him at least partially responsible for a major economic downturn
4. This weird story about the Navy
How the Navy could be torpedoing Trump’s chances in 2020
When it comes time to defend his red wall along the Great Lakes, President Trump is going to come face to face with the consequences of his Pentagon leadership’s failure to implement his oft-promised 355-ship Navy (up from 290 today).
Pennsylvania workers make many of the essentials that go into ships, including shafts manufactured in Erie and cooling systems in York. Every time the Navy awards a contract for a new ship, the president or vice president should be at one of these facilities talking about the jobs the contracts will provide. But the Navy hasn’t been issuing those contracts, so the president can’t make those announcements.
5. His Poll Numbers are slipping
This was a BAD week for the Angry Creamsicle’s popularity. A VERY bad week.
New Polls Show That Trump Should Be Afraid. Very Very Afraid.
It's not that his approval rating is low (although it is). It's that his disapproval rating is so high.
The truth is that Trump’s base did not elect him. His base brought him close, but what paved the road for the inside straight that secured his majority in the Electoral College, was a late swing away from Hillary among suburban women, middle-aged Hispanic men, those with some college but not a four year degree, and independents, combined with a drop in the black turnout. Trump is weaker today than he was in November 2016 in each of those demographic subsets, and the economic uncertainty and distress in the bond markets are affecting the investment accounts of those older voters Trump needs to have any chance of mounting a comeback
These Are the Numbers That Should Worry Trump the Most
The intensity of opposition to the president in polls is only hardening. If we see 2018-like turnout, those numbers are likely to be very accurate.
Oh sweetie, 2018 will have NOTHING on 2020. We are very fired up!!
AP-NORC poll: 62% disapprove of how Trump’s handling his job
About 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump’s overall job performance, according to a new poll released Thursday by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, which finds some support for the president’s handling of the U.S. economy but gives him weak marks on other major issues.
Just 36% of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president; 62% disapprove.
6. The Racism Ain’t Working
For Trump, appeals to white fears about race may be a tougher sell in 2020: Reuters/Ipsos poll
U.S. President Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric and focus on the grievances of white voters helped him win the 2016 election. But a Reuters analysis of public opinion over the last four years suggests that Trump’s brand of white identity politics may be less effective in the 2020 election campaign.
Reuters/Ipsos polling of 4,436 U.S. adults in July showed that people who rejected racial stereotypes were more interested in voting in the 2020 general election than those who expressed stronger levels of anti-black or anti-Hispanic biases.
In 2016, it was the reverse.
not only that but attitudes are shifting making the racist group smaller
The Reuters analysis also found that Americans were less likely to express feelings of racial anxiety this year, and they were more likely to empathize with African Americans. This was also true for white Americans and whites without a college degree, who largely backed Trump in 2016.
White Americans are also 19 percentage points more supportive of a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants and 4 points less supportive of increased deportations, when their responses from the July poll were compared with a Reuters/Ipsos poll in January 2015.
The July 17-22 poll also found that 29% of whites agreed that “America must protect and preserve its White European heritage,” down 7 points from a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted in August 2017 and 9 points down from another Reuters/Ipsos poll in August 2018.
The Longer Trump Stays in Office, the More Americans Oppose His Views
It isn’t entirely clear what is motivating these changes. As Ashley Jardina, a political scientist at Duke, told me recently, there has been a 10 percent drop in the number of Americans who espouse white identity politics since Trump entered office.
But the Trump era has also radicalized Democrats, and especially white Democrats, who by some measures are actually more liberal on race than fellow Democrats who are minorities.
7. His Allies at Fox News Aren’t Ignoring Reality for Him
Even Captain Chaos’s BFFs at Fox have been making him mad. And that is good for us. The bond between him and Fox news is dangerous and the cracks are getting bigger, which is great. At a certain point, they will move on to another A-hole republican and abandon him. Not sure when, but it will happen.
Donald Trump Slams Fox News For His Brutally Bad Polling Numbers
Trump pushed back Sunday against a Fox News poll showing he’d lose to any of the top Democratic candidates in the 2020 election.
“There’s something going on at Fox, I”ll tell you right now, and I’m not happy with it,” the president told reporters at Morristown Airport in New Jersey, as he traveled back to the White House from his golf resort.
Bret Baier Fires Back at Trump on Polls: ‘Fox News Has Not Changed’
“Fox has not changed,” Baier said in response. “We have a news side and an opinion side. Opinion folks express their opinions. We do polls.”
Trump in big trouble for 2020. Political and economic warning signs there for all to see <this is from Fox News>
With just 441 days until Election Day, Donald Trump faces political peril and economic woes. That is a deadly combination for any politician, but especially for this president.
His favorability rating is under water. Trump is viewed unfavorably by 56 percent of voters, which is only one point lower than his worst rating of 57 percent in October 2017.
a staggering 59 percent of voters think Trump is tearing the country apart.
First, Trump cut taxes and said it would pay for itself. Instead, it has exploded the deficit.
Next, Trump said China would bear the costs of his trade war with them. Really? Trump’s suspension of additional tariffs is an admission that they have been hurting American consumers despite his claims to the contrary
Numbers don’t lie. Under the current circumstances, Democrats should win the House, Senate, and White House in 2020. The warning signs are there for all to see. Ignore them at your peril.
Your “warning signs” Fox news are our rainbows and unicorns. Just sayin’
Fox News Anchor Chris Wallace Bashes ‘Flailing’ Trump as Stock Market Plunges
Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace did not mince words when assessing President Donald Trump’s Friday morning Twitter tirade ordering around U.S. businesses and calling the Federal Reserve chairman an “enemy” as the stock market took a plunge over China’s retaliatory tariffs.
“Best I can tell, the American president can’t order U.S. companies how they’re going to do their sales and where they’re going to have their supply chains,” Wallace said in response during an appearance on America’s Newsroom. “We have a free-market capitalist system.”
“He can’t sit there and order the CEO of the board,” Wallace continued, “and my guess is most people in this country wouldn’t want to see the president be able to do this.” He later concluded: “When you have the president of the United States sort of flailing around this way and ordering companies to move back to the U.S. and saying that the head of the Federal Reserve is the enemy of the country, is that going to create more consumer confidence about the state of the economy or not?”
8. Trump is getting primaried
There is very little chance that any of these men could beat F–kface Von Clownstick but getting primaried as an incumbent is almost unheard and having multiple people thinking of it!!?? amazing. Not only will he have to waste time (and money) fighting these men, but it is a sure sign that support is THIN.
First, there is this guy, who is already in:
GOP PRESIDENTIAL CHALLENGER BILL WELD CONFIDENT HE CAN WIN NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY: 'HISTORY IS NOT ON MR. TRUMP'S SIDE'
Weld believes he can beat Donald Trump in the GOP's New Hampshire primary, arguing that "history is not" on the president's side.
Discussing his primary challenge to Trump Tuesday morning on CNN New Day, the former Massachusetts governor said he saw this run as a defining moment in his political career.
Weld argued that it was necessary to challenge the president over his attacks on democratic institutions, as well as for his racism.
but now it looks like the floodgates might open:
Trump critics eye GOP primary race
Joe Walsh, a pugnacious former congressman, is preparing a Republican primary challenge to President Trump that he previewed as a daily “bar fight” with the incumbent over his morality and competency.
Mark Sanford, a former South Carolina governor and congressman, said he is inching closer to a bid of his own by sounding out activists in New Hampshire and other early-voting states about an insurgency focused on the ballooning deficit.
Jeff Flake, a former Arizona senator and Trump antagonist, said he has taken a flurry of recruitment calls in recent days from GOP donors rattled by signs of an economic slowdown and hungry for an alternative to Trump.
And former Ohio governor John Kasich will head to New Hampshire next month to “take a look at things” after experiencing “an increase” in overtures this summer, an adviser said.
9. Women are turning on Trump
The fact that any women like President Creep Throat is bizarre, but his numbers are dropping with women, which is great. We are 51% of the population.
more from the fox news poll
When you look at the cross tabs of the Fox Poll it is clear women have turned on Trump in such large numbers and across so many demographics it is impossible to ignore … or change. Women of every color, age, and income reject Trump in this poll
10. Our Party is Doing Great Things
Democrats continue to show what a real party does and stands for!
Senate Democrats Vow to Fight Reopening of For-Profit ‘Child Prison’ Homestead
“What we’re doing to these kids is evil and cruel,” Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) said in a statement accompanying a letter calling for the closure of the Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children. “If they thought we wouldn’t notice, if they thought we were done fighting their cruelty, they were sorely mistaken.”
House Democrat demands documents from NRA's former ad firm
A Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee is aiming to uncover more examples of potential financial impropriety at the National Rifle Association and convince the powerful House committee to launch a formal investigation into the tax-exempt nonprofit.
In
a new letter obtained by CNN, Rep. Brad Schneider of Illinois has asked the NRA's former advertising and public-relations firm Ackerman McQueen to release letters, receipts and other materials that document the firm's financial relationship with the organization.
11. Our candidates are coming up with great ideas
This is a treasure trove of good ideas that our eventual candidate will get to pick from when she or he faces Trumplethinskin.
Julián Castro To Announce Ambitious Animal Welfare Plan
The plan is the only comprehensive and detailed animal welfare plan released by any of the presidential candidates.
Gillibrand releases mental health care plan focused on 'growing crisis' in America
Democratic presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand released a plan on Tuesday to expand mental health coverage in the United States.
The plan, which labels mental health a "growing crisis in our country," looks to combat the issue by using federal funds to expand Community Health Centers and behavioral health clinics, expand coverage of non-traditional mental health treatments and enacting federal "safeguards" to ensure that providers was fully reimbursed for treatment.
In a lengthy, detailed plan posted on Medium, Warren called for the repeal of the 1994 crime bill
Warren’s larger argument echoes that of many of her rivals who are calling for decreasing incarceration levels and arguing that crime is better combated by investing in education, housing and other anti-poverty programs.
Senator Bernie Sanders on Thursday released a $16.3 trillion blueprint to fight climate change, the latest and most expensive proposal from the field of Democratic presidential candidates aimed at reining in planet-warming greenhouse gases.
Former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke on Thursday rolled out his sweeping plan to ensure higher wages, protections for labor unions and end workplace discrimination.
"We need to be there for workers across this country who have always been the engine of our economy," the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate said, a day after speaking at the Iowa AFL-CIO Convention. "We need to keep up the fight for $15 an hour to ensure that one job is enough -- and no one needs to work a second or third job to support themselves and their families. Only then can we build an economy that finally works for everyone in this country."
Under O'Rourke's "21st Century Labor Contract," workers will be able to join a union if they so wish, get paid a living wage no matter the industry, will not need to work a second or third job to provide for a family, will not be face discrimination in the job search process, will have access to job training and will have access to a fair labor market.
Buttigieg rolls out plan to push for mental health care, fight addiction
South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg on Friday released a plan to combat addiction and provide mental health services, outlining a proposal that aims to reduce the stigma around mental health, penalizes insurance companies that do not offer mental health coverage and offers $10 billion in annual grants for communities to address the issues.
12. We have Great Allies
Our allies are not only doing great things to stop the worst ideas that Chlamidiot has, but they also keep important issues in the spotlight for us, increasing our chances of a victory!
Trump administration sued over poor medical care in immigration centers
Immigration advocates filed a sweeping, first-of-its kind class action lawsuit in federal court against the Trump administration on Monday, claiming official policies and lack of oversight related to the border and immigration crisis have led to major lapses in medical and mental health care in nearly 160 detention facilities across the country
New York AG sues to block Trump rule aiming to deny green cards to poor immigrants: ’We will not let that happen’
New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit Tuesday to block the Trump administration from making it nearly impossible for immigrants to obtain green cards if they’ve ever relied on welfare, blasting the proposed policy as “a clear violation of our laws and our values.”
Parkland students unveil sweeping gun-control proposal and hope for a youth voting surge in 2020
The student activists who crashed the political arena after the mass shooting last year at their high school in Parkland, Fla., are throwing their weight behind a new and ambitious gun-control program that they hope will set the tone for the debate following the most recent mass shootings and headed into the 2020 elections.
Dick’s Sporting Goods reports strong earnings as it experiments with reducing gun sales
Dick’s announced Thursday that same store sales jumped 3.2 percent in the second quarter — its strongest showing since 2016. The outdoor retailer’s stock surged more than 4 percent as Dick’s raised its full year guidance.
The results suggest that critics have abandoned any outrage against the retailer, which overhauled its gun sales policies after the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla. school, and removed all guns from dozens of stores this year.
13. His Strongest Ally — the NRA — is Imploding
FIFTH NRA BOARD MEMBER RESIGNS AMID STRING OF RECENT DEFECTIONS
This marks the fifth resignation from the NRA's board of directors since August 1, when three board members quit after they allege they were sidelined for raising questions about apparently lavish spending and mismanagement by top executives.
The NRA is under investigation by multiple government entities, including the attorneys general of New York and the District of Columbia, and is embroiled in numerous lawsuits related to its billing practices and fallout from the financial misconduct scandals.
14. We Have The Motivation to Win
Really this is the number one reason we are going to win: we are going to work our asses off to win. WORK. OUR. ASSES. OFF.
And why? Well, the past 3 years have give us plenty to want to change. One piece of good news is that we CAN change a lot of it:
Trump's shaky policy legacy
A great deal of President Trump’s policy record — on issues like health care, energy and even immigration — would need a second term to fully take root, and could be easily reversed if he doesn’t get one.
Why it matters: Trump is doing a lot: He has upended American politics, and his appointment of conservative judges will reverberate well beyond his presidency. But if — if — he were to be a one-term president, the substantive policy changes he’d leave behind could be short-lived.
“It’s a fairly slim record, even judging against single-term presidents, partly because the legislative achievement list is so short,” said Andrew Rudalevige, an expert on the presidency who has published books on both the Obama and George W. Bush legacies.
Yes, he will leave a mess, but our new president can undo lots of it FAST.
A story about 2020: Some friends and I were joking a few days ago. All three of us are huge fans of one of the candidates for president (let’s call this person candidate W) and much less excited about another one (Candidate X). Someone asked my one friend “well if Candidate X wins the nod, will you vote for him?” and we all laughed and laughed because DUH. Of course we will vote for ANY of our candidates, its is just a matter of how excited we will be *when* we literally give up all our free time and spare money to get our candidate elected.
And that, my friends, is why we are going to win. We want it BAD and we know we HAVE TO WIN.
My money is on the good guys this time around ❤️
It is going to be so exciting to say that we were a part of the movement that brought down Agolf Twitler.
We will do all the hard work of donating, and calling, and going door to door, and registering voters, and sending postcards because WE CAN DO THIS and we MUST do it!
I am so proud and so lucky to be in this with all of you ❤️ ✊ ❤️
