In 100 Days, Joseph Robinette Biden will be sworn in on the steps of the United States Capitol as President of the United States.
In 100 Days, Kamala Devi Harris will be sworn in as Vice President of the United States.
In 100 Days, the odiferous fetor emanating from the opposite end of Pennsylvania Avenue will begin to lift as the fumigators and deep cleaners are doing their work to make the White House habitable for decent people once again.
In 100 Days, the 117th Congress will already be 2½ weeks old, with a hefty increase of membership in the House Democratic majority who will have already queued critical pieces of legislations designed necessary to begin undoing the travesties the nation experienced under Republican and autocratic rule.
In 100 Days, the new Senate Democratic majority will have dispensed with the filibuster and have already passed AFGRA (America Finally Gets Relief Act) where serious relief for those hurt hardest by COVID-19 actually helps those most in need, along with solutions to pending questions before the US Supreme Court that would make the current efforts seeking to overturn the ACA and deny justice to DREAMers moot.
In 100 Days, the change in Senate leadership will have also streamlined the process for confirmations and expedited the consideration and passage of acts necessary for the revival of the nation and true democratic rule.
In 100 Days, America will cross a significant threshold of redemption amongst the citizens of our fellow nations. The US will again be part of World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accord. The good people of the planet Earth will have collectively breathed a sigh of respite and hopefulness as sanity once again pokes its head above ground across the nation and the world community.
In 100 Days we will be poised for the next 100 Days, the first 100 of the new administration. The time where the greatest and most enduring changes to the egregious wrongs that have befallen our society are truly possible.
Yet…..WE only get to see this vision of 100 Days from now if:
- WE work as hard as we are able between now and the election to win every race where a Democrat is running
- WE are relentless in efforts to enable everyone to cast their vote and make sure that their vote is counted
- WE assure that all of our Democratic candidates up and down the ballot have the resources they need to maximize their potential
- WE are vigilant in making absolutely certain that Election Day shenanigans are quashed forcefully and quickly
- WE work together seamlessly, in a giant harmonious wave, as WE make this happen everywhere. That’s right — Everywhere
In other words WE need to spend the next three and one-half weeks busting our tails. Going further and faster than WE ever have before. Coming at this from every angle at once so that WE don’t miss a thing. As a unit. As a team. As a people.
It’s time. Let’s roll.
