Good news: Ben comes home tomorrow. Our doctor was trying to have him control his diabetes by diet. It didn't work. The norovirus kept him from eating, and that caused the sky-high blood sugar and low blood pressure. He is stable now and getting a new prescription.
Things are calming down.
I probably sounded whiny. But when you have buried a young, strong husband, you cannot help being frightened when your second spouse of 32 years becomes seriously ill. Many of you have never dealt with something like that. From experience, let me tell you that you won't know how you will react until it happens. And that however you feel
I will likely be back after Biden is inaugurated. I remember the pie fights in 2016. That is not the kind of stress I don't know While I sympathize with the disappointment of the Bernie supporters (I voted for him in the primaries in 2016, and Warren this time), at some point you have to stop being angry and disappointed, and become pragmatic. We didn't get our first choice. We got Biden who isn't perfect but no one can deny he is a decent man and so much better than the other choice. I would have voted for a rabid wolverine to get rid of Trump. Sometimes you have to settle for the good instead of the perfect. I hope we can get beyond disappointment and support our President -elect. With Bernie in the Senate, he can be a gadfly and push him to the left, along with Warren and the Squad.I
Some of you know me. Many don't. I have been here since 2005, but had to leave when we moved up here in 2015, it was a year before we could afford wifi, and I only had a Kindle Fire which is not conducive to writing more than a paragraph or two. I have a desktop now, and I am starting to write fiction again. It seems I still have stories left to tell. If somebody has the November 1980 or 81, with my story "King of the Cats," let me know. My copy was stolen by the movers.
