This is not a diary to try to convince me to vote for your candidate. I can read each of the candidates websites and this isn’t a diary to promote your candidate.
No I’m not interested in you telling me why my favorite candidate would be great for x or y spot. I wanted them for PRESIDENT.
This is a diary for those of us who either can’t figure out who we want to vote for and or are mourning the lost of your preferred candidate.
Please join me in a moment of silence for the candidates that we wanted:
Gov Deval Patrick
Andrew Yang
Sen. Michael Bennet
John Delany
Sen. Cory Booker
Marianne Williamson
Secretary Julian Castro
Sen. Kamala Harris
Gov. Steve Bullock
Joe Sestak
Mayor Wayne Messam
Beto O’Rourke
Rep. Tim Ryan
Mayor Bill de Blasio
Sen. Kristen Gillibrand
Rep. Seth Moulton
Gov. Jay Inslee
Gov. John Hickenlooper
Sen. Mike Gravel
Rep. Eric Swalwell
Okay, this list is WAYYYYY to long and frankly one of the problems with this entire election cycle. I sadly watched as my first, second and third choice all suspended their campaigns.
Of the remaining, I don’t hate anyone but I also don’t love anyone. I had such high hopes going into this cycle, now I sit and look at my ballot and wavier between writing in my candidate, throwing it away or voting for the person I think will beat Trump.
I think every remaining candidate has strength and weaknesses and I’m already exhausted of the whole thing and only two states have voted. So come join me, have a glass of wine and a good whine and cry over what could have been.
