When New Hampshire rolled around and those of us not supporting Bernie pointed out that many more people hadn’t voted for Bernie than had, we were told that didn’t mean Bernie wasn’t popular. Instead Bernie couldn’t get a majority in New Hampshire or even get the same numbers he did in 2016 because there were so many people in the race.
Well tonight we have South Carolina and it appears there are still lots of candidates in the race. It also appears that Joe Biden was able to win a majority of the vote or at the very least a dominant plurality.
So if such a supposedly weak candidate as Joe Biden can win in such a decisive way, why should anybody believe that Bernie is a strong candidate when he can’t?
