This diary is another installment of factual, statistical, and official information being aggregated by various Kossack correspondents to this Group. If you would like to track the Covid-19 response in your locale, please msg me and we will welcome your help in keeping the community up to date on actions taken in your state. We need reporters, more than one per state is appreciated.
We need to hear from people who can cover US Territories as well — Pacific Islands and Puerto Rico.

Today’s Georgia Public Health Statistics
Confirmed Cases: 287
Deaths: 10
This is an increase of 141 additional cases since 3/17/20 and an increase of 9 more deaths since 3/17/20.
Discussion
Here are demographic data on those statistics.
By far, the preponderance of cases is in (what I call, the workers’ group) the 18-59 years old range at 46%; 60+ years at 35%; <18 years at 1%; UNK age at 18%. By sex, cases split 53% Male; 46% Female.
Total Tests Performed: 1,831
Total Positives: 287
Total Commercial Labs: 1,323 # of Positives: 174
Total GPH Lab: 508 # of Positives: 113
No explanation is provided why the GPH Lab’s rate of positives is so much higher than that of the commercial labs.
The bulk of cases are in Fulton (1) and Cobb (2) Counties, the locations of the City of Atlanta and the ATL airport at 103 combined.
A quick examination of the map image above indicates that those two counties are the epicenter of the Georgia “hotspot.” Many rural and mountain counties report zero infections. Other counties with cases are largely urban centers for the cities of Valdosta, Macon, and Savannah. Five impacted counties along the western state line with Alabama are on the Chattahoochee River.
