Politics continues to be the primary concern of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp as civic organization of city administrators and officers express frustration with his apparent foot-dragging over instituting statewide social distancing, home self-quarantine, and closure orders. [See link below] The governor responds with the announcement that he’ll conduct a “townhall” tomorrow but issued no stiffer response to addressing the rising infections and deaths in the state. Georgia House Speaker, David Ralston, in support of the Georgia Municipal Association appeal, responded to its expression of urgent need for decisive coronavirus response from the governor, “If we overreact, thank God we overreact.”
Amid the waffling the realities of numbers contrast starkly in their unwavering representation of the facts.
