It’s another day, another record number of positive cases here in Oklahoma. It must be Thursday!

The state health department reports that today there were 450 new cases. This breaks the record of 259 that was set...yesterday. Which broke the record of 228 that was set Tuesday. Which broke the record of 225 set last Saturday. That broke the record of 222 set last Friday. Sense a trend here?
This chart shows the number of new positive cases in Oklahoma since April 1. Does that look like a falling curve (let alone a flattened curve)?
Okay, the more total cases, raw numbers don’t show that much of the picture, right? How about % daily increase? Let’s go back to May 1 (the sample size was so small in April/March that a small increase would wildly move the %’s). Let’s add upwards of 100,000 people that won’t be wearing masks to the mix!
