Very short post. I thought I would share my most recent letter to my wonderful senior Senator, John (I can’t talk right now while kissing all of this Trump butt) Cornyn. Tell me what you think. Or not.
Dear Senator Cornyn. I need to report a security threat to this country. It seems that the United States Senate has been infiltrated by liars, thieves and cowards. One of them, after spending 8 years accusing the last President of "negligence", "usurpation", "abuse of power" and even "treason", (yes, those are his words!), had the unmitigated gall to defend and excuse the current President for siccing the United States Police and Armed Forces on peaceful, civilian protesters for a cheap photo op and openly supports allowing millions of vulnerable people to die of a deadly pathogen for the sake of his stock portfolio. This same man has also worked hard in the past to deprive a whole group of American citizens of their Constitutionally guaranteed rights to equal treatment under the law because he thinks LGBTQ people are icky or something. While too much of a coward to call out the current President’s STATED STRATEGY of divide and conquer, he accuses a Senate Colleague, (I know, right?) of being "divisive". While that last may not seem dangerous on its face, it can cause a violent eruption of WTF? in the space-time continuum. I'm very sorry to say that I can't provide his likeness in this format but if you go into your bathroom and look into the mirror, you'll see him.
Whatever staffer is reading this, smirking and not forwarding it on to your boss, I hope you're as proud to support the authoritarian Fascist in the White House as your boss is. I wish he would spend some of the time he wastes in displaying fawning devotion of the Gropenfuhrer on the people who actually pay his salary and provide his health care coverage for free. Rather than replying to me, maybe spend a few minutes considering how ludicrous it is for a no serving, draft dodging President, (and some Senators as well, Mr. Cornyn) to lecture veterans like myself about what it means to be an American.
Wiki says that you're just 68 so you might have a good 20 years left and I hope that you spend all of them with the full realization of the damage that you've done to the country that we have both served in our respective ways. Though I don't believe that you will ever admit it, neither one of us are stupid and we both know that this is so many kinds of wrong. The difference is that only one of us has the courage to speak truth to power. Hint: It's not you.
