I just finished reading the Kerry Eleveld item titled Mattis Rebuke Of Trump Roils Senate Republicans. While well written I believe he gives way too much credit to Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) when he says
While many Senate Republicans are doing their usual duck and dodge move, Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska made some truly notable remarks about Mattis' contention that Trump is a threat to the U.S. Constitution.
The Senator’s remarks were at most namby-pamby. They are mere pablum from a savvy politician who is busily working to cover her derierre at a time when “the incumbent” is on a downhill slide. If she were truly concerned with what Drumpf says and does, she has had ample time to express her feelings (40 months and counting). So while I am glad that she said SOMETHING, there is no spine (or even spirit) behind her remarks. When she actually says anything meaningful on the current situation in our country maybe we can THEN offer some praise.
Just my two cents’ worth. What say you?
