I live in the midwest, Minnesota. In the last few days I have read any number of “stories” on social media, that go like this: I went to take the covid 19 test, I filled out the paperwork, the wait was too long, I went home, the next day the testing place called me, and they said I tested positive! Variations on the story, I took my family of seven in to be tested, or this happened to a friend of mine. In my case, a family member was tested three weeks ago along with five friends and they all found out the nest day they were negative. The positive rate of tests is around five percent in Minnesota, and it was lower a few weeks ago. And I’ll admit it, I can imagine Florida screwing up, but not Minnesota on the testing. So are these “I tested positive without a test” an urban legend, alt right conspiracy, or Trump voters falling in line?
