Tom Scott is an English YouTuber with a background in linguistics and computer programming. He makes entertaining and educational videos on a great variety of topics and I have embedded a very recent one here as it is an interesting little bit of history about an ancient monumental construction that has meaningful echoes into the modern world.

I’ve previously embedded videos by Tom Scott in comments about electronic voting and I’ll repeat them here, as they will remain relevant until the US abandons its use of dire voting machines:

While this posting provides a bit of boosting for Tom Scott, please note that I have nothing to do with him. I have never met him and live literally 10,000 miles away. And to be frank, his YouTube channel is so successful that a few extra views from Kossacks will barely show up in his viewing figures. I checked and he currently has about 2.81 million subscribers on YouTube and many of his videos get over a million views and some get multiple million views, so he’s doing fine without us.
