I’ve been building a comprehensive timeline of COVID-19 events, as a means of making sense of the swirl of current events. My time line starts several years prior to the first known case in Wuhan (or possibly earlier), and continues on a day-by-day basis from December 1, 2019 through to yesterday, July 31. As I continue my research I continually update earlier dates with newly discovered information.
My research currently has 885 referenced news articles tied to daily events, in addition to longer stories that can’t be told on a day-by-day basis. Starting in June I’ve been incorporating charts, graphs, and images that also hep tell the story.
My working notes are also linked here and in my COVID-19 Timeline, available under a creative commons license (BY SA). Please feel free to download these notes, and if you want to build your own timeline let me know so I can share your links.
I can’t embed my timeline directly in this post as it uses WordPress style blocks not supported here. It’s also running about 8,000 words, so it would overwhelm this post.
You can find my timeline, starting with July events, at this link. Previous months are accessed on the navigation menu.
