It starts as a low murmur.
Then, it increases in volume until the booing becomes perceptible. Eventually we are able to discern a very distinct chant, which starts at a lower register but builds to a crescendo: “VOTE HIM OUT! VOTE HIM OUT! VOTE HIM OUT!”
Notice the body swaying back and forth. You have the eyes seeking contact with the one person in proximity who might care at all for him. But that person only gazes ahead and doesn’t make eye contact. The rocking back and forth becomes worse as the chant “VOTE HIM OUT” swells.
Until the coward flees.
So much for that photo op. It was probably going to go into a commercial. But now if the orange traitor fuckpudding puts it into a political ad, people will only hear and be reminded of the chant, “VOTE HIM OUT, VOTE HIM OUT, VOTE HIM OUT!”
While I practiced law as a trial attorney, my second commandment to every client who sat next to me in court was this: Always look like you are winning. Don’t wince, don’t shrug, don’t blurt anything out. Always look like you are winning and that you will win.
I didn’t know it at the time, but people nowadays call that “branding.”
The Trump brand cannot be seen outside their little Nazi bubble, and when it is, the American people react. Last week, undecided voters at a CNN townhall let the brand know how it was faring with their questions. Previously, the brand tried to go to a baseball game and ran into “LOCK HIM UP” chants:
