I just wanted to write a diary honoring Joe Biden, because I am sick that everything is always about Trump. I am sick of that blow hard petulant baby.
So, I am making a short diary to honor what I saw in Biden last night and since he has become the nominee.
1. Joe Biden is a caring and compassionate person. His love for both of his sons, hero and troubled, was a breath of fresh air last night. I thought that he provided a great contrast to it.
2. Joe Biden is humble. I don’t know about you, but the most competent leaders I have had in my life have always been reflective and humble. Usually leaders who suck, hide their incompetence with arrogance. I never understood why people fall for that. Joe Biden is confident, but not arrogant. He recognizes it will take more than a president to fix our woes and is willing to listen to others—especially experts.
3. Joe Biden recognizes the reality we are facing and actually has a plan for addressing it. Does he go as far as I would like him to? Who gives a shit— he has a plan and has demonstrated the ability to hear other voices and do what is right. He is a decent human being who will give honest consideration to other viewpoints.
4. Joe Biden has demonstrated his ability to weigh information and decisively act only after he has made sure it is the right choice. That came through when decided on his most awesome pick for VP: Kamala Harris
5. Joe Biden is an anti-racist person who will earnestly work toward ensuring a future where people are treated equally.
