I saw photos of the two domestic terrorists with flex cuffs in the Capitol on January 6. If those two men had been able to reach the Vice-President, Senators, Speaker of the House or Representatives, there could have been disastrous consequences.
I wondered how a civilian could even acquire flex cuffs. I thought, “Maybe they are sold at some obscure tactical gear store, or something.”
So I did a quick Google search, and lo and behold, the first source that popped up was Amazon. And there were a lot of tactical gear stores selling them too.
Why is it so easy for a civilian to obtain flex cuffs? I can’t imagine a single legitimate reason why any law-abiding civilian would need to buy these things. In my opinion, flex cuffs should be only in the hands of law enforcement and the military.
Should a law be passed to stop the sale of flex cuffs to civilians?
