So, I clicked on the Countdown podcast link I see here because it asked the above question and I was curious. After the usual adverts and Beethoven lead-in, there was a raft of questions about lack of adverts from D’s asking their R opponents things like: “Why have the Oil Companies had obscenely enormous profit gains this year compared to what they had during Trump’s last year?” Then I remembered the Katie Porter dog and pony show I saw earlier in another blog entry. The three bar-chart increase comparisons with profits on the top, costs associated with materials and plant to produce in the middle, and the bottom which showed increase in employee wages.
The absolutely huge bar showing the profit increase stood out to me as a very likely reason the pump price is going up, especially when combined with the price gouging fuckery pulled by Vlad and Jared’s pals, the Saudis, I presume to influence the election (October surprise” anyone?)
Keith's list of adverts that we’re NOT seeing in Dem ads everywhere went on for the entire A block, around 15 minutes. One after the other after the next…. None of which I have seen an ad of.
Let’s just agree that D messaging sucks for some unexplained reasons and then go back to the mandatory cheerleading. At least, that is the usual response here to someone calling the Dem marketing folks red-assed baboons as that is the only logical justification for the abject marketing malpractice that they have gotten away with for cycle after cycle since someone in a really nice suit thought it would be a great idea to have Dukakis ride in a tank.
Please. Someone whose email might actually be read by a campaign staffer here and there, send them a link to the Countdown podcast for today. Get the adverts out and get voters to vote.
