There can be no break in the war just because winter is coming. It is not going to slow down Ukraine’s army at all. The Russians have been broken in all three attacks — they will not give them a chance to catch their breath. In fact they will just turn up the attacks. The only issue Ukraine may run into is exhaustion from the constant movements — but you know they planned for that for sure.
I think they will try and by-pass cities — but that is mostly because of civilian pains and would not really be necessary. They can be by-passed for the most part. Fights in Kherson area might get a little more difficult, but that is just because of the farmland areas there — can help defenders in a way. They will just adjust tactics though.
Jesus Christ himself can’t stop what is going to happen to those Russian troops with their backs against that river in Kherson by the way. I assume the colder it gets there the faster they just quit. Can only starve for so long in the cold.
Right now — the Russian navy is basically hiding behind Crimea — really. I think the Ukrainians will reach the Black Sea pretty soon here and then all hell breaks lose— can really do a number on Crimea. SO those Harpoon type weapons we gave them (we gave them more than that I am sure) — will keep them hiding or sinking. RU can’t really defend here much — Ukraine already has the HARMS (anti-radar stuff) retrofitted to their old fighters. That is mainly why RU air is neutered there — like they turn on their radar and they die.
Just all IMHO — I am not even bothering to check the good generals about this since it is so crystal clear to me. Like think — Peter the Great here.
SO you know — General Hodges thinks Ukraine pushes RU back to the starting border before X-MAS And will likely take Crimea early next year — they are that fucked. Hertling will never comment on operations issues here — and he is very right not to. Would not be helpful at all. I know he won’t.
