Greetings and welcome to another bit of Friday-flavored fluff. This week, the fluff outside has been melting. Still plenty of ice out there when I went grocery shopping this morning.
Getting a few projects done around the apartment, caulking around the window frames, slopping a bit of paint on the walls— even managed to give one of our radiators its first coat of paint in thirty years.
I can't imagine you'd want to come along with me on the exciting journey of huffing the fumes of my radiator rust convertor and primer spray paint, but I thought you might enjoy a few pictures from a little art fair I visited last weekend. There’s a distinct lack of photos of artwork, although there is a bird!
It's just that there’s been a number of years of green Christmases around here. Surely you’ll forgive me for wanting to post a few photos of scenic spots tucked under a blanket of snow.
Outside the Prague exposition and fair grounds last weekend there was a nice little art fair, emphasizing ceramics, but with a fair number of other arts and crafts represented.
Why “outside” the fair ground? Well, because the main exhibition hall, the Palace of Industry, a fantastic bit of architecture created for the event of the 1891 World's Fair was nearly completely destroyed in a fire a couple years ago and has been closed for reconstruction since 2022.
Thanks for stopping by.
This is an open thread. And, before I hop down into the comments to beg for recipes for almond-y cookies that incorporate a bit of coconut, I'll add one more photo:
