Do we have cabin fever? Yes, we do. Ann and I have been cooped up by snow and ice for about a week now. Read about our storms here: Powerful winter storm whips into Portland area, across Oregon Thankfully, although the lights have flickered then and again, we’ve kept our power and internet. We are warm, cozy, and we have YouTube. So here are a few recent finds. Some of them are long so I’ll post the time length. You might want to save them for later, who knows?

Next, TFG stinks but did the Vikings? Jimmy (the Welsh Viking) discusses Viking hygiene. (Sorry but you’ll have to go to YouTube for this one.)

Slow Travels Family explores scenic English countryside and historic landmarks. This woman has a very painterly approach to vlogging and I love how soothing her videos are.

Next, let me introduce you to Gavin Hetherington. He’s a well known author of YA fiction and a BookTuber with a channel called Gavin Reads it All. Gavin has been going to some spooky places and reading horror fiction while ghost hunting. Ann just loves ghost hunting videos so that’s how we found him — and I’ve got to say, he’s the most interesting and respectful ghost hunter I’ve seen. Incidentally, this video covers a place that the Slow Family Travels channel covered in daylight — because it is really lovely. Anyway, watch Gavin get bullied by ghosts.

Lastly, here is a film from 1925 (just about a century old!), Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World. It’s a relic of its time, so take that for what it’s worth.

I hope you’ll find something here to entertain!
