I was at the grocery store this weekend and I didn’t have a ton of stuff, but the guy behind me only had 3 things so I asked if he wanted to go ahead of me and he did. When he went to pay, he was using a card, oh shit, I don’t know what it’s called but I have one from my insurance company. These cards do a lot of things and one thing they do is give you a certain amount of $ for groceries and OTC items per month.
Seems he didn’t have enough on his card to pay for his $20 of groceries though. The cashier said let's try $15. They tried $15, $10, and $5. None worked. I said let's try this and put my card in the machine and paid. The guy thought that was so nice. (It wasn’t, I was being impatient. I really wanted to get home, and it was worth $20 for me to do so.)
Guy thanked me and left but came back a minute later and gave me his business card. He’s a handy man, does little jobs around the house. I was thrilled. I need someone like that so bad!
Now, the reason I’m telling you guys this is because watching Video Shorts on You Tube is what put the idea in my head. I’ve been worried about watching them, it seems like such a mindless activity. It did some good though, so I’m not going to stress about it though.
Video shorts are kind of like tik tok shit from what I hear. Short little videos that you scroll through. You can’t really control what comes up, but the algorithm picks up what you like to watch. There is some really cool stuff on there!
~ there is a woman who cleans houses for hoarders. OMG! I don’t know how she does it.
~ there is a guy who will go into, say a Target and ask people if they have $2 for something he needs. When someone gives him the $2 he gives them $500. It’s usually the obviously poor people who give him the money too. The ones with money blow him off.
~there is a guy who will go into a food place and ask for 100 tacos and go feed homeless folks with them. Then he goes back to the food place and tips them about $100.
There are TONS of these kinds of videos. I’ve included some of my fave below. Only one is a good deed one, the others are just fun for me. I put them in You Tube form for you, but you can see how my ADHD self cannot sit through 30 minutes. I’ve linked to shorts for each one too.
This woman works on a cruise ship and travels all over the world and she eats everywhere she goes. I’m wondering when we're going to see the channel @Karissa exercises.

Matt Rife — unlike the Tennessee kid, (Nate Bargatze) Matt does not work clean. His crowd work is incredible though.

This guy sends his robot truck into stores to buy things. Silly stuff but it seems to delight people.

This below is an amazing guy - Just Nate. He goes around helping home homeless people and he does it in such a wonderful way. He just asks them what they need.

The last question he asks is always, handshake or a hug? He takes donations in case you’re interested. You can donate here and buy stuff from his shop here. When you buy one, he gives one of the same to the homeless.
