Hi guys! I’m cheating a bit today — my knee is still quite funked up, so I am posting a youtube instruction video instead of making one myself (we’re not going to get the full show over here in central Virginia, more’s the pity!) But in 1970 my family went to Atlantic City for the full solar eclipse in March. A lot of things are very blurry from that long ago, but the memory of the weather along the boardwalk (chilly!) and of watching the eclipse in my very own homemade view-box has stayed with me all these years. So, if you don’t have fancy eclipse-viewing shades for tomorrow, try this easy, inexpensive, and very effective hack!
