Atrios is already all over this, but I thought some of you might want to discuss it here. Horowitz's censorship group has put up a site with all of the groups they want to quash. Andrew Sullivan will probably have a coronary (at least until he gets a big check) at how many gay groups (and the Gill Foundation as well...maybe because unlike Horowitz, Gill actually cares about helping people) are in the crosshairs. They also include on the blacklist pretty much every successful lobbying group for any non-bigoted causes, apparently.

Sjp's diary from yesterday already mentioned the hypocrite Mattera, who talks about skin-bleaching and handicapped whites and is behind this big movement for whites-only scholarships, yet he took affirmative action money himself.

BTW, Mattera was also responsible for writing a bunch of articles in his college paper about how sodomized and murdered young boys prove that homosexuality is wrong; http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-11-02-free-speech-cover_x.htm
.
Well, if you want to e-mail him about any of these tidbits (he was already questioned on CNN about his affirmative action hypocrisy and naturally he dodged the issue), here's his address:

I wonder how the minorities who live in his area feel about Mr. Mattera spitting in their faces solely to gain publicity for his cause. Here are a few links courtesy of someone on the Atrios blog:

Keeping that in mind, some of you might find it interesting to know that his pop is a pastor at a church in Sunset Park, Brooklyn -

- an area of the city with a very large concentration of hispanic and minority constituents. I wonder not only how his congregation would feel about his son's blatantly racist and bigoted attitude, but how the local community leaders feel about it.
Feel free to get in touch with people like the local Democratic Assemblyman, Felix Ortiz, whose contact information can be found here:

and let him know that you are a concerned citizen. Also, write local papers, in Brooklyn and RI. This little bastard wants to play to the media, so should we.
