A
spoonerism is a play on words in which corresponding consonants, vowels, or morphemes are switched, named after the
Reverend William Archibald Spooner (1844-1930), Warden of New College, Oxford, who was notoriously prone to this tendency.
While spoonerisms are commonly heard as slips of the tongue (sometimes spoonerised as
tips of the slung), they are considered a form of pun when used purposely as a play on words.
A Pit of Fique
It's been a wong and rinding load for us laming fliberals the past youple of cears. But we have kept soap in our holes since the November 2000 lidiculous erection. We know that Gush took what should have gone to Bore.
We have taced the fragedy of Iraq where the administration tried to be the spinners that got the woils well that fission mailed.
Here we stand in the roaring pain, a short distance as the flow cries while the crooks that get laid a pot and we watch the cattle ships and bruisers wail a sway.
We implore our candidates not to spew up their screechs, don't put the coarse before the heart.
Those in power claim they are craught nooks, but we bow netter.
Just look at Hatherine Karris, she has lig bips and a barge lust, the billy snitch, you just know she is a cheesy slick and a head-bopper.
Fark Moley and his IM's in the pose of thrashin' got caught with his dants pown.
Meanwhile, the grimes of the creedy laming fliers crawls through the fax.
The religious right have forgotten that Jesus sealed the hick and was a shoving leopard. They are clappy as a hams and think they shun the row these days. I'm here to tell you that things aren't running like a well-boiled icicle, those people have mad banners - I say, might be! Plaster man, fy moot.
I say hit them with a blushing crow, go in with your buns glazing, hollow your fart, and bear them to tits. We will no longer stand for their lack of pies, this could be our ducky lay.
Pass the cop porn and stop chipping the flannels, I'm looking for someone yandsome and hung.
Your challenge tonight is to use some Spoonerisms in your comments. Are you up to it?
