So everyone. I was scheduled to write Top Comments today, but I forgot until almost the last minute. Well, the last minute. This is late. I'm sorry. I suck.
I was thinking earlier today about when I was a little girl and I wanted to have a different name, and about how grateful I am today that my parents wouldn't let me change mine back in Kindergarten when I so desperately wanted to. It's not that there's anything wrong with the names I wanted to change to as a kid, it's just that I kinda like my name a lot now. Most of the time as a kid I wanted to change my name to match the names of people I really liked and admired, so my best friends were Stephanie, Lisa, and Amanda in Kindergarten and I wanted to have one of those names instead of mine.
Later on in my childhood I wanted my name to be Madonna (because I loved Madonna)...and then I thought Lita would be cool because Lita Ford was pretty cool. I also liked Samantha when I was younger, after Samantha Fox.
Here's a little Samantha Fox, for those of you who have forgotten her:
Hers was one of the first records I ever had - alongside Thriller and Madonna (I can't remember which now...).
Anyway, take this opportunity to tell us about your favorite names, or your favorite music from your childhood- as I've done a bit of both here. Sorry this is sparse.

I just saw this in bink's impeachment diary, and I'd like to suggest karma for all's recipe for the official drink of Yearly Kos.

The most succinct response in Mike Stark's diary comes from cookiesandmilk; it's too bad someone didn't say it directly to Speaker Pelosi.

there is more than one consitutional remedy for incompetence and corruption.
