My husband was at Wal Mart the other day and happen to notice a table set up that had Humana Insurance Company employees signing people up for their new drug card and answering questions.
When my husband came home and told me about this I had to wonder why Wal Mart was allowing one of the providers of the new drug card to set up station in their store and sign people up. So, I did some digging on the net. It appears Wal Mart and Humana have become partners. I don't understand very much about the new drug card at all and I seem to be in very good company as no one seems to understand it very well. I called my pharmacy (CVS) and asked if they would recommend one of the providers and they would not recommend any of the listed providers. They said it depended on the person and their medication needs. One plan would not work for everyone and it needed to be gone over very carefully before choosing a provider. But here we have Wal Mart using their influence to get people to sign on to a card that may not be the best card for them. These poor seniors are already confused enough without relying on Wal Mart to help them out. I think it's disgraceful. Here is the link to the Wal Mart/Humana web site:

Am I getting upset over this for no reason or do we have Wal Mart once again sticking their noses where they do not belong? To me, anytime you have a corporate giant such as Wal Mart, an insurance company like Humana and the government working together....there is going to be trouble and the little guy is going to get the screws.
Oh and check out Humana's board of dirctors...stacked to the max with drug company CEOs and hospital directors and other pharma/med reps.
If this has already been posted, please let me know and I will remove it promptly. Thanks.
