Now that Illegal/Undocumented Immigrants have successfully marched in millions, and (hopefully) have their voices heard, it is time for Legal (with a Capital "L") Immigrants and Taxpaying Residents to have their voice heard too.
We are waiting for lawmakers to review and restore the "V Visa" was an obvious benefit to LPRs and our families. However, it should be noted that allowing families to reunite has a beneficial impact on the US economy as well. With the LPR population currently over 700,000, it estimated that a V Visa -type program could add as much as $4 billion to the US economy, each and every year.
"All they seek is a chance to reunite with family
members and, in their small way, help grow the US economy!"
The recent article in Seacoast summarizes how the American economy looses out about $4.2 billion dollars a year by not fixing the problem of Nuclear families seperated due to the expired V-Visa not being Revived.
While everyone is looking to fix the problems faced by Illegal Immigrants...what about Legal Permanent Residents?
