Hillary is just following a very well established tradition of the President lying repeatedly in public. In the last 3 decades Reagan, Bush Senior, Slick Willy, and Dubya all perfected the art of lying and when caught lie some more and just keep on lying. Of course Johnson and Nixon were very well accomplished liars. Gerald Ford we hardly knew ya. Jimmy Carter is the only President in the last 45 years who didn't seem to master the art that well. No wonder he is perhaps the finest ex-President we have ever seen.

After all, the consequences appear to be few other than a rare impeachment proceeding (Clinton) or being forced to resign (Nixon). But as long as the press doesn't get too worked up and Congress holds no one accountable, just lie your way to another term or to lucrative speaking engagements and/or sleazy business deals after you leave office.
Indeed Hillary seems to have learned a lot at the feet of the master triangulator. Wake up lying, lie throughout the day, and go to bed lying, all for the greater glory of .... hmmm I'm not sure what glory comes of it all.
You may win an election here and there and get rich from books, speeches, and corporate insider deals once you leave office, but unless you are a super good rationalizer ("My lying and getting elected/staying in office allows me to do all these good things for (to) the country")it must really deaden your soul. And you know George W. will have a best seller and many corporate sweetheart deals lined up next year. After all Halliburton/Exxon/AT & T/Lockheed etc. owe him so much.
But what does it profit them to gain the world and lose their souls? And the truth, our nation's and world's suffering souls, and our very planet pay the price.
Where The Mind is Without Fear
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake
