Today, St. Louis's favorite Teahadist hatemonger Dana Loesch posted on her phony news site, Big Journalism, in regards to Same-Sex Marriage. Needless to say, her homophobic views went out to expose her for what she is: a delusional bigot.
Government has no place in marital affairs and Christians themselves should have protested the moment that government observance morphed into interference; government regulation gives the false impression that marriage is just a fancy name for "union" and not, in fact, a blessed union by observance of faith. Government has no place to dictate to people of faith or to any other community. This is why Barron is a Republican; progressives believe that which is antithetical to this. Progressives believe that the government has the ultimate authority to manipulate people beyond which is enumerated in the Constitution.
There's more lies from this bombthrower from St. Louis down after the jump.
Adam Shriver of the St. Louis Activist Hub posted this rebuttal to Loesch's anti-LGBT screed:
The cartoon, of course, was from a South Park episode, and the joke there made at least a little sense. But the picture had absolutely nothing to do with Loesch's post about gay marriage. Nothing, that is, except being a reference to the right wing's idiotic claim that "once you allow gay marriage you'll have to allow people to marry their pets."
Furthermore, Loesch's arguments were idiotic, claiming that the RNC candidates' support of the right-wing National Organization for Marriage's (NOM's) position on marriage was a "defense of religious freedom." Perhaps this point would be worth discussing if the question at the RNC debate had been whether the candidates supported forcing churches to marry gay couples. But, as clearly pointed out by Tommy Christopher (the blogger Loesch was attacking), and as could be seen by anyone who watched the debate, that was not the actual question. The question was whether they supported the position of NOM, which is the position that gay marriage should be completely banned. In other words, it is clearly a position that is at odds with religious freedom, because it bars churches from being able to decide for themselves whether they will marry gay couples. Her arguments are, as usual, complete nonsense.
Evan Hurst of truthwinsout.org also takes Loesch's banal and silly arguments to the woodshed:
This may be the dumbest argument against marriage equality I have seen a wingnut give in at least a week. It’s all the more striking because the writer, Dana Loesch, seems to believe that she’s making an intellectual argument. In it, she’s arguing against a colleague, Tommy Christopher, who pointed out the contrast between GOProud’s existence and the fact that none of the RNC candidates support marriage equality. She thinks everybody else has their understanding of the word "equal" wrong.
Also? Let’s stop being cute and pretending there is something special about Christian Marriage, as opposed to other marriages. The only thing different about them is that they end up in divorce more often. The fact that a couple chooses to believe that their marriage is marked down in a book in the sky is completely irrelevant. This being America, they are free to believe that, though, and no one will take it away from them.
Loesch went to her bread-and-butter: demonize the Unions at all costs.
She accused the "Unions of deliberately delaying snow removal in NYC," when that's a lie and she knows it. She also had the nerve to defend Chris Christie's leaving NJ citizens in the cold. This was mentioned in my previous diary.
Looks like one of Andrew Breitbart's cronies-in-chief at Big Journalism is making up distortions about how the "unions in NYC did worse than Christie with the snow removal" garbage. Her name is #7 on my 2010 Worst Persons list, and it is St. Louis's own lie peddler Dana Loesch.
NYC slow snow cleanup really a union protest: http://bit.ly/... Have blood on their hands: http://bit.ly/...

She also blamed the unions for alleged trespassing, when in fact they were peacefully caroling at a Roquette America executive's home in Keokuk, Iowa.
Dana Loesch, the queen of "I Hate Unions," was trashing Unions for alleged intimidation on Private Property, when they are in fact doing nothing wrong. WGEM, the NBC affiliate out of Quincy had this:
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- It's Christmas caroling with a message.
Wednesday night, locked out workers from Roquette America in Keokuk staged a very unique protest.
They took a break from the picket lines to go caroling outside the homes of top Roquette executives who live in Quincy.
The union workers have been off the job for almost three months now.
Roquette locked them out on September 28th, and contract negotiations have pretty much stalled ever since.
Wednesday's event hoped to grab the attention of company leaders. The singers carried signs that read "bah humbug" and "Seasons Greed-ings". They sang "Let Us Work" to the tune of "Jingle Bells" and "God Rest Ye Locked Out Laborers"
According to union members, Roquette's contract offer would slash wages and benefits.
She then put out her union-trashing fiction
Are you kidding me? A caravan of 80 people to sing insults and, according to eyewitnesses, shouting "F*CK YOU" at various houses right before Christmas? This isn’t "caroling," this is intimidation. On private property. I’m told by locals that one of the houses they visited was down a private lane of an elderly couple whose granddaughter often stays with them (and luckily wasn’t the night the union struck) – the union trespassed.
When union thugs – because members don’t show up to people’s houses but if you do you’ve crossed the line from member to thug – show up to the homes of private citizens, it’s all but ignored.
Want more evidence that Loesch is a dingbat clown.
