I've had about 2-3 hours to read tonight, and while that allowed me time to find some diaries for recommending, it wasn't enough to find any I thought fit the group. It also meant no time to write up a decent intro. (And if I don't think it's decent, you can be sure it's utter crap.) So tonight, the floor is yours. What are you reading? What diaries did you find thought provoking?
And let's make that a standing question. We could all benefit from reading outside our boxes. I include myself in that. As much as I try, I only have so much time in the day, and there are definite areas I miss due to my primary interests. So feel free to share what you're finding.
On a related note, the next couple days will also be light reading for me due to various obligations which recently came up. I'll set up diaries to publish at the right times so you can continue sharing reading material, unless anyone has objections to that idea. I'll do my best to find diaries to republish, of course, but I'd rather not raise expectations. My apologies in advance.
A Perfect Conversation is a group for republishing diaries that:
A) Challenge the DK conventional wisdom.
B) Provide information which may lead to new ideas.
or
C) Push for action that is innovative or not just playing defense.
The point is not to agree (or disagree) with these diaries. It's about challenging ourselves to rethink our political philosophies, activities, and issue positions.
The floor is yours, tonight. Tell us what
you think we should be reading.
As always, a full list of all diaries republished to A Perfect Conversation can be found here. Feel free to check it out at any time.
