labwitchy's quilt, detail
Patriot Daily News Clearinghouse has breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy this week (which went very well) and is now in the process of being thoroughly checked out. It is early days and her course of treatment has not been laid out yet.

Well, the doctors have not laid out a plan of treatment yet. But there is something we can do. A community quilt is a therapy that is community support for a dear friend and it is something that can begin right now! Facing cancer is frightening. We have the power to help with words of love and support.
alliedoc's quilt
What is a community quilt? It is a quilt containing messages from you, transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin. They are blankets full of love and support that may be hugged, snuggled, or cried into whenever they are needed. The love is in the fabric of them and will never wash out.

If you would like to support the making of the quilt with a donation as well, here is a PayPal link -- or message me for a snail mail address if you prefer checks. It is not necessary to donate to leave a message -- but we will be looking for $10/message to cover the expense of materials and some of our time.
