For the Walker/Kleefisch recall, each county in wisconsin has a quota for signatures. Dodge County, home of the brothers Fitzgerald (BOOOO!!!!) has a quota of 5047 signatures for the entire 60 day span. At the end of office hours today, after only 6 days, Dodge County Wisconsin is proud to report we have collected 2706 signatures to recall Walker!! We have slightly fewer for Kleefisch because some folks forgot to sign for both, but all of our volunteers are Rockin' The Recall!

While the Dodge Dems are doing great so far, we know Wisconsin has a long road ahead to get this recall done, and we won't stop at 5047 signatures. Can we get double? We'll try! Our volunteers in the field and at the office are many, enabling us to keep the headquarters open for more hours, and it is great to have folks walking in the door and saying “how can I help?” Pulling down the Walker regime will be easier with more hands on the recall rope. If you live in Wisconsin and haven't already contacted your local Democratic Party organization, or your local United Wisconsin organization, I urge you to do so. They can help direct your efforts to best effect.
One thing I want to mention: the Democratic Party of Dodge County took the plunge and signed a 1 year lease on office space for our Headquarters. At roughly $1000 a month that is a huge commitment for a county party with roughly 130 members. We do not receive financial help from the State Democratic Party, so our expenses are all our own. Donations directly to a county party organization are a great way to really put boots on the ground and paper in a copier. Of course I want you to donate to our county, at http://www.dodgedems.org/ , but all across Wisconsin there are county parties who could use some financial help. Please remember them when you are feeling generous.
Viva La Recallution!!
