Since my most genteel request to have dk4 launch as scheduled, rather than causing my fragile psyche to endure more temporal discomfort has been so cruelly denied, appropriate retaliatory efforts must be taken.
So I'm calling on the garden bloggers -- and anyone else who wants to join in -- to BREAK THE DAMNED THING TOMORROW.
I want to go beyond a stress test. I want a crash and burn test.
Tomorrow morning a few minutes before 7:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (shudder... that timeliness thing again) I will post a place-holder edition of Saturday Morning Garden Blogging here on dkos3. To encourage folks to actually go over to the beta site, the dk3 version will have little content -- but I will put a link to the dk4 version of the diary as soon as I have one.
It appears that dk3 content is being transferred over to the dk4 beta site every 15 minutes -- so at 7:00 a.m. the place-holder diary will be migrated to dk4. Once the place holder appears on dk4, I'll stuff content into the "shell". I'll keep editing it trying to generate phantom html errors, formatting problems, whatever I can think of.
And then I order you, my minions, to create whatever havoc you can.
Margin races.
Over-sized pictures.
Videos. Multiple videos
Pictures of pooties.
Improper grammar.
Irregular tags.
Flame wars.
Trolling (yes, for one weekend only trolling will be allowed in garden blogging; well, except for spammers. I don't want to buy any Gucci bowling bags).
I'll create a user group and invite as many people as I can at the same time to join. And then we can try crashing dk4 with group diaries.
I want to do whatever we can to bust the fucking thing. Expose as many fucking bugs as we possibly can.
