On January 2, 2012 our friend and kossak, Horace Boothroyd III, wrote this diary "I haven't had to deal with this for a long time."
In this diary he wrote about his epilepsy. that he is having symptoms of either having small seizures (not his words, these are mine, base on my husband's break through seizures), and physical foreshadowings of seizures (also something my husband does).
He also told us that he is not on his medication because the one he was on made him "incoherent," and that he was "fired" by his neurologist because he missed an appointment. The fact that he forgot his appointment IS NOT unusual and can be attributed to epilepsy/seizure disorders, and medication for epilepsy/seizure disorders (yes it can get you coming and going - my husband was also fired by his former neurologist for the same reason).
ANYWAY . . . many of us who commented on the aforementioned diary said that we would help him remember his doctors appointments from now on so that he could get on medication, get medication adjustments as needed and stay in top form.*
Tomorrow he has an appointment with his GP .
I see my GP on the 11th and will ask them to start the paperwork for the neuro referral. That should get me seen by a neuro by April if all goes well.
