To no one's surprise Megyn Kelly and Laura Ingram got together on Fox News, which despite its trademarked slogan, is only slightly less fair and balanced than the World Wrestling Network, and took on Sandra Fluke. They did not make the mistake of calling her a "slut" or a "prostitute", but they certainly took issue with the law student's demand that the state, and thus the taxpayer, bear the cost of her and her fellow trollops' contraceptives. (trollops is my word, not theirs - but I could tell they were thinking it)

These two blonde, attractive and presumably high-paid conservative commentators let the audience know in no uncertain terms, that they, as students never expected to be handed anything. If Sandra Fluke wants contraceptives in order to make her social life a little less risky, then she should darn well get a job and pay for them herself.

They didn't mention how she was supposed to find the time to work since clearly she was spending all her non-study hours colluding with the White House to create a phony war on women in order to change the subject from religious freedom, which everyone knows Barack Obama is particularly vulnerable on. Any fool could see that Fluke/Obama forced Rush Limbaugh to insult Ms. Fluke, just so they could take phony umbrage at his 9 hour twisted sexual ranting, and of course, the lame-stream media lapped it up with a spoon.

On and on Megyn and Laura went, and so transparent and convoluted was their diatribe, that I felt compelled to rush to my computer and refute it point by point. But then I thought, why bother? Neither of these educated, accomplished women believe one word they are saying. They probably went out for an Irish Coffee afterwards and said, "another day, another load of crap we're forced to disseminate". (smart women like them use words like disseminate)

Truth be told, I don't think even Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity believe what they say half of the time. Unfortunately for us, most of Megyn/Laura/Sean/Rush's dim-witted listeners do. They want to hear nothing more than that the well-spoken, rather brave Sandra Fluke is really a cheap little tart looking to get her kicks on the taxpayer's dime. The tell-me-no-facts Fox audience is literally drooling with glee as their favorite conservative commentator reveals Obama's Machiavellian plot to eradicate religion, promote radical, black Harvard professors, kill unborn children, and according to Sarah Palin, reinstate slavery just to foment black rage. (it is Sarah Palin, so don't even try to make sense of it)

Megyn/Laura/Sean/Rush aren't paid multi-seven figure salaries to speak truth to their ill-informed and proud of it audience. They're paid to feed the flames, stoke the anger, and fuel the fear. All of us who argue with them, point out their lies and correct their misinformation might as well be spitting into the wind. When it comes right down to it, honesty, decency and integrity don't stand a chance against a really fat paycheck.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

look up where they were schooled over their entire educations, and tally the amount of government and donated funding that helped the two of them pay for it.

Somehow I doubt that either one of them paid the full per-pupil costs of college for example.

Let’s All Boycott Greta Van Susteren

I don't know much about Greta Van Susteren. Out of all the mouth-breathing pundits on television news channels, my sanity only allows for me to watch a few and she's never really made the cut. I don't know what her beliefs are. I don't much care. She could personally go to northern Uganda or the Democratic Republic of Congo right now and kill Joseph Kony with her bare hands, and I still wouldn't care. Why? Because it appears as if her banal ranting has led to a canceled Louis C.K. performance at the Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents dinner .

Yes, that's right. One of the best standup comedians of all time, known for his hilariously brutal honesty, was about to entertain us for an hour calling out politicians left and right. Apparently, his agent told a CNN reporter that he just didn't want to do it anymore without giving further explanation, but the cancellation comes one day after Van Susteren started ranting on her blog and saying that she would not attend out of protest.

But I don't think you can include Sean in that rundown. I believe Sean to be truly an idiot who has come to believe everything that is propelled out of his cakehole.

The others betray themselves every so often when something logical gets past the filter. And Jon Stewart is there to scoop it up put it in context for us.

This is really sad.  Apparently they'll do anything to make their ill gotten gains.

pay for health coverage.  They just want contraceptives included in coverage that they already pay for.

At no time ever was it discussed that Sandra wanted taxpayers to pay.  not ever!

So there outrage is just another scam- just another attempt to smear someone so that the focus can be shifted.

And they classify themselves as women.

    They should be ashamed.

They are trying to advance the idea that this is all about TAXPAYERS PAYING FOR SEX.  Hence, Limbaugh's slut and prostitute references.

This could/should be easily refuted by the facts, as you have already stated:  They just want contraceptives included in coverage that they already pay for.

I was watching something on Fox with Eric Boeller and his 3 female republican minions against 1 ill-prepared Democrat (sorry, I don't normally watch Fox so I do not know all their names).  Boeller and his minions prattled on and on about the "poor feminists" who were so weak that they need the government to pay for their contraceptives so they can have sex.  Not once did the Democrat point out the obvious errors in their statements, not that they would have allowed him to, in any event.  Whenever he did start to have a sensible statement, Boeller would always interrupt and commandeer the conversation back to him and his minions.  It was pathetic.

they're still whipping this dead horse.

So, Fox knows for sure that RL did a horrible job on messaging.  They also probably have a pretty good idea that O'Reilly's rants tested about as bad.

So they've teamed up two female, semi well spoken ideologues to try it again.

You'd think that they'd just give this one up at this point.  However, in typical republican fashion they decide to double down.  Then triple down.

They don't understand that we've sorted this shit out about two decades go.  They just think that had RL not fucked it up last week, everything would had been fine.

    It's the inequality, stupid.
