Quilt top, remembrance and Glen the Plumber
Regina in a Sears Kit House is very, very ill -- so ill she is in a state of despair. I'm hoping that the love in your messages will help lift her and give her energy.
Regina suffers from what is commonly known as Lyme Disease. She had the spirochetes under control earlier this year but then came down with a terrible respiratory infection that led to pneumonia. The treatment for the pneumonia started a "spirochete cascade", leaving her with all sorts of very painful symptoms, including allergic type reactions to just about everything she's eaten. A central line has been installed for IV treatments for the Lyme and the reactions -- those things are being done. She's fighting. But Regina is also very tired and low in spirit. Shall we show her some love in a quilt she can hang on to as she battles for her health?
Quilt for a man with cancer, commissioned by a group of his friends
Leave your message in a comment below and I will transcribe it in archival ink on muslin. Your words will be sewn into a colorful quilt for Regina so she will feel your support as she is wrapped in it. It will bring her smiles when she is low, absorb her tears when she is sad, and bring her peace when she is resting. The power of loving words is enormous.

If you can help with the cost of making the quilt (time and materials), my sister and I would appreciate it. Making these quilts is our living -- and the cost of cotton keeps rising. Here is a PayPal link or message me for an address if you prefer to send a check. $10/message is suggested -- but if you can help cover for those who can't donate, it would be so kind. Some people really cannot help with the cost but their messages will mean so much to Regina. Last diary, we received only half of what we need for the messages received. Please help if you can.

Here are a few of Regina's messages, for inspiration:
Love and comfort from so many,
sewn into every inch of this magic cover,
will hold you, warm you, give you strength.
Rest. Breath in all in. scribe
Sending waves of healing energy your way: warm sunlight, gentle breezes and the love of all your friends. Ebby
In our language, wiigiwaam means "house." It also means "lodge" - a place of healing. With this quilt and the love it holds, let us help turn your house into a lodge for your body and spirit. Soothe. Sleep. Rest. Heal. Aji
Being sick is the pits, but you have shown a lovely grace and calm through it all. May this quilt surround you with our love and remind you of how much we all care. Lorikeet
Know that we are holding you close in the light of love. Sending our strongest intentions for your well-being.
Much love,
Carol in San Antonio
You'll always be in the Sears Kit House in our hearts.
It's a really nice house. God Bless. Karl Rover
