Is Chick-Fil-A at the fake supporter scam again?
I've seen several messages online claiming to be reposting a statement of support allegedly from from a gay woman named "Emily Ruggieri" on Facebook. I am skeptical that this is a real person and perhaps another fake creation of Chick-Fil-A or a supporter.

The message being passed around allegedly from "Emily" is as follows:
I'm gay and I think that Chick Fil A being strong with what they believe in is awesome. I may not agree with it but who cares, its their money that their using from their privately owned company to do so. Instead of complaining about this one company out of many that donated money to certain causes, you all could be looking for ways to support your cause. You're for gay rights? Awesome go donate money! Chick Fil A happens to be against it, so they donate money also. I don't see Chick Fil A banning gay people all because they have different beliefs. Do you? Nope! I eat there and they haven't complained about me for being gay! I'm sure they love my business just the same as a straight persons. So relax, not everybody will always have the same beliefs as everybody else, its called life. People believe in different things. That's what makes life fun and worth livining.
A quick search on Facebook comes up with several women of that name, but none seem to be openly gay, nor have I found this statement attached directly to the facebook account of a woman of that name, which I expect I would find if it had actually been made.
I am therefore quite skeptical that this particular Emily Ruggieri exists, especially given Chick-Fil-A's past practice of creating fake supporters.
So, if anyone else has any input on whether this is a real person (which I doubt) or another scam, please comment.

Fri Aug 03, 2012 at 11:32 AM PT: Update: Emily is apparently real.
Several of her friends have been posting pro Chick-fil-a things on my Facebook Page and taking offense that I doubted Emily was real, as though it were a personal slight. I have replied that in light of CFA's record of using fake supporter profiles, the idea that a fake gay supporter wasn't so far fetched, especially if one considers the idea of a gay person supporting CFA is like a black person supporting the KKK or a Jewish person supporting the NAZI party.
A number of "Chick-Fil-A isn't so bad" talking points, including a citation of Brietbart.com, have been posted as well as wondering what "the real reason" for the CFA actions have been made.
