A woman with a nice, honest face.
A humble hero.
A story with a happy ending:
In an interview on ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer,” Tuff said she worked to convince the gunman to put down his weapons and ammunition.
“He told me he was sorry for what he was doing. He was willing to die,” Tuff told ABC.
Speaking Wednesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Tuff said the suspect told her he hadn’t taken his medication.
She told him her life story, about how her marriage fell apart after 33 years and the “roller coaster” of opening her own business.
“I told him, `OK, we all have situations in our lives,” she said. “It was going to be OK. If I could recover, he could, too.”
Then Tuff said she asked the suspect to put his weapons down, empty his pockets and backpack on the floor.
And he did.
I am tired of seeing the supposedly handsome mug of Ted Cruz over and over and over again. I am sick of seeing the supposedly manly mug of Rick Perry ditto. I hate Texas politicians with pretty hair whose brains are filled with crap.
I'd love to see more pictures of women with nice, honest faces who can speak sense.
And common sense.
I want to join the Gulabi gang even though I am a chicken-hearted woman.
I want to see the faces of women like Sampat Pal, The Baddest Woman in India.
Or Wonder Girl Malala Yousafzai on the Best Day of her Life.
And, the best woman at the moment, from Texas, Wendy Davis, who will be appearing on Vogue showing the best of chic. I hope she makes it to the cover.
Ever more sickening is the parade of pretty kluntzes from the Republicans: Marco Rubio, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, et al, with mouths full of twaddle.
Or the Islamic Brotherhood creep who called for a day of rage and littered Egypt with more dead bodies.
Women. We need to see more women in the news. Women running the world, Women taking care of business in a good and sensible way. Women.
And, an end to the hormonal rages of men.
