Sarah Palin, and other Conservatives, are morally outraged that one character, on one Reality Show, just got one extended vacation, for simply "expressing himself" ...
Sarah Palin Defends Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson: "Free Speech Is an Endangered Species"
Celebrity News, USmagazine.com -- Dec 19, 2013
On Dec. 18, the Alaska native, who had her own reality series on TLC in 2010, wrote on her Facebook page, "Free speech is an endangered species. Those 'intolerants' hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us."
If this is a matter of "
Free Speech" and
"personal" self-expression, then I'm sure Sarah and her fellow
bandwagon members, would get
equally outraged about this:
Catholic school teacher, fired for being gay, draws wide support
by Bruce Bostick, peoplesworld.org -- May 1 2013
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Carla Hale, beloved 19-year teacher at Bishop Watterson High School here, was fired by the Catholic Diocese in March for "violating the morality clause."
More than 100 students, Watterson alumni, and community and labor supporters packed the meeting room of the local Unitarian Church last Saturday to support Hale.

Or this freedom of expression,
denied:
Scores of United Methodist pastors overturned chairs, sang hymns and held an impromptu communion in a makeshift courtroom Tuesday night moments after a jury of peers had handed down penalties to the Rev. Frank Schaefer.
Schaefer was suspended from all ministerial duties effective immediately for 30 days, during which time, if he violates church law, he must immediately surrender his church credentials.
During the suspension Schaefer is allowed to minister to his gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender parishioners, and was instructed to discern whether he could continue to carry out his duties while upholding in their entirety the laws of his church.

Despite their protestations, Rev. Frank Schaefer was
fired anyways, for not following the "Letter of their By-Laws" ... for being {quote} "human."
Oh the Humanity!
Methodist minister defrocked for officiating son’s gay wedding -- Dec 19, 2013
I'm sure Sarah and company, got his back now, Riiiight?
Well, maybe not. Maybe I need to search harder ...
IF this is were simply a matter of "Free Speech" and "personal" self-expression, then I'm sure Sarah and her fellow Justice-seekers, would get equally outraged about this civic-indignity:
29 States Can Fire You For Being Gay. Is Your State One Of Them?
upworthy.com
How can this be the Law of the Land in such a multi-cultural, diverse land as ours? One founded on the principle that
All People have the Right to pursue Happiness.
How can one be fired for the simple pursuit of an "alternative" life-style, in these 29 states? Sexual Orientation just a "personal" expression, of who a person really is, is it not? Just another Checkbox, on a demographic census chart ... like dozens of others, without the stigma.
Certainly, Conservatives who say they care about "free speech" -- without retribution -- would care about this lasting legacy of religion, setting the larger society's standards?
You might think so, but you'd be wrong. They only care about "infringements of speech" that happen to them.
Other corporate-speakers, pushing the boundaries of outrageous speech, who have lost their jobs for doing so -- is just not their concern. Some Speech, is just beyond the Conservative pale:
Sarah Palin: Free Speech For Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson! For Martin Bashir? Not So Much -- by Ellen, newshounds.us -- on December 20, 2013
When they (on the other side) get fired for exercising their rights of expression, well it's just A-OKAY with Conservatives, long as it's one of their own, who's being offended.
That's just popular justice, and the free-market working its will ... Doncha know?
That's just the American-Corporate way! Conservatives don't usually have a problem with that, until it impacts one of their own.
