Media Matters has a long history of supporting workplace organizing - it's one of the reasons that their site is a daily read for me, and why this tweet caught my eye.
MMFA's history of supporting workplace organizing is one of the reasons I support their work. So it seems implausible that they would be preventing their own employees from joining with SEIU, yet a Google News search yield a plethora of articles decrying the inconceivable.

Media Matters hypocrisy: Denies Service Employees International Union card check election
It seems the right wing is all abuzz about this, but I don't see it being mentioned elsewhere.
This article from the Washington Examiner seems to be the most credible.
Media Matters for America is apparently resisting an effort by Service Employees International Union Local 500 to unionize its staff.
Last week, the union filed a representation petition with the National Labor Relations Board, indicating that the nonprofit media watchdog organization rejected an effort by the union to organize MMFA's staff through a Card Check election.
I post this here because I hope this isn't true. I hope that this is the right wing spinning, and that there are details here that aren't being reported. It would be quite disappointing if true. They'd be abandoning a principle they claim to stand for, and their credibility would suffer.
Sat Apr 26, 2014 at 1:12 PM PT: So all the comments did nothing to clear this all up for me - the nuts on the right say MMFA is opposing card checks, and the folks here are only interested in my lack of activity on this account.
