Los Angeles Kossacks will be meeting two weekends back-to-back this month to hear from California Senate and U.S. Congressional candidates before the upcoming elections. Shockwave has done a fine job setting up these events; it is a rare treat to hear and speak to candidates in such a personal setting. Please let me know if you can be there.
On Saturday May 24, two candidates will speak to us. Betsy Butler [D] wants to represent CA-26 in the California Senate. Marianne Williamson [I] is hoping to be chosen for CA-33, U.S. Congress, to replace retiring Henry Waxman.
But wait, there's more! Bay area Kossack norm will be in town that day and may be able to join us. I know this is short notice, but let's show norm some love and welcome him to L.A.
The next Saturday, May 31 is an opportunity to hear from Sandra Fluke [D], who confused well-known know-nothing Rush Limbaugh, and is now hoping to represent CA-05 in the California Senate. Also speaking will be Left, Right and Center host Matt Miller [D] who would like to win U.S. congressional district CA-33.
Both events will be at Casey's Irish Pub, 613 S. Grand Ave, Los Angeles at 2 p.m.
Shockwave has written multiple diaries explaining the issues and candidates in greater detail.
9:07 PM PT: The start time for May 24th will be 3 p.m., not 2 p.m.
