A daily series, Connect! Unite! Act! seeks to create face-to-face networks in each congressional district. Groups regularly socialize but also get out the vote, support candidates and engage in other local political actions that help our progressive movement grow and exert influence on the powers-that-be. Visit us every morning at 7:30 A.M. Pacific Time to see how you can get involved. The comment thread is fun and light-hearted, but we're serious about moving the progressive political agenda forward.

Mini-Photo Recap of Kossacks in Detroit
Every time I attend one of these things it's about blow torching the candle at both ends. I'm on a massive sleep deficit but one has to continue on when it comes to finding all the Kossacks in Detroit.
We had our wonderful Cheers & Jeers Dinner this past Wednesday night. 111 Kossacks attended, we handed out free Daily Kos Build Community tee shirts. The food was great, the banter was loud and non-stop.
The Daily Kos Caucus hosted by Markos featured our new Community Building focus. I spent a few minutes detailing our plans for the future. I'm currently writing a diary I hope to post on Monday about our quarterly regional salons. Stay tuned.
My favorite plenary session was the one featuring Reverend Barber, the originator of the Moral Mondays movement. A movement that should be duplicated across the nation. Please watch for upcoming diaries from other Kossacks with video of this powerful event. And I hope there's video of Stacy Abrams's speech that preceded Barber's.
There's a lot more photos but I haven't had time to upload more photos. The Elizabeth Warren session was fantastic, except for the Warren for President people who will forever remain on my shit list. Long story.
I've got photos of Shockwave's party featuring Maureen Taylor of the Detroit People's Water Board.
And photos of the massive closing party at the Science Center.
Ok. Pooped. Over and out. More photos on the horizon. With Diva commentary.
I plan to have a conference call early this week with the leaders of the two groups in Arizona — Mother Mags in Phoenix and Azazello in Tucson — to talk about expanding the size and number of groups to push the progressive agenda in the state.

Let's Build Communities!
Our team is here to provide support and guidance to new and existing volunteer leaders of each regional and state group, helping them with recruiting, organizing and executing social and action events.
We invite you to join in this effort to build our community. There are many ways to pitch in.
If there isn't a group to join near you, please start one.

by John Crapper ♥ for Seattle and Puget Sound Kossacks
Organizer John Crapper completed another meet-up, from his agenda:
Next, I updated the group on our efforts to identify campaigns we would like to assist in the upcoming elections. There are three that have been under active discussion but nothing has been firmly decided. We all agreed it was important to pick races that would help Washington Democrats regain control of the Senate.
Next, I asked for ideas, suggestions and assistance identifying future guest speakers. In connection with that I urged all to invite their friends to become Kossacks and join us to enhance our clout.
Longtime Kossack
LarisaW, President of
Progressive Radio Northwest (PRNW), was in attendance. She is leading an effort to bring back progressive radio to the NW.
