News agencies are now reporting that ISIS has release a video and still photos of the beheading of kidnapped American journalist James Foley.
The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) claims to have beheaded an American photojournalist and has threatened the life of another American journalist if President Obama doesn't stop airstrikes in Iraq.
A graphic video obtained by NBC News purportedly shows James Wright Foley, a freelance journalist for the U.S.-based news service GlobalPost who was kidnapped while reporting from Syria two years ago, reciting threats against America before he is executed by an ISIS militant. The militant heard in the video speaks in English.

Here is the NBC News story.
Reports are that the US intelligence agencies are working to confirm that the man in the video is in fact James Foley.
My condolences to his family, if this is Mr. Foley, and if some other person were killed here, my thoughts are with his family.
"We have seen a video that purports to be the murder of U.S. citizen James Foley by ISIL. The intelligence community is working as quickly as possible to determine its authenticity," White House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said.
"If genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends."
