This is a first - as many throughout the state have been applying, and been turned down in Lyon, Reno and other counties. Johnson County courts, however, have decided this issue is one that they will not continue to protest, and as of this afternoon, the Johnson County Courthouse - a location where Derek Schmidt and Sam Brownback stood yesterday in a video captured in this blog, noted that the would fight gay marriage.

Marriage Licenses are now free to be issued in Johnson County, Kansas.
The clerk of the district court is hereby ordered to issue marriage licenses to all individuals
End of Story.
2:19 PM PT: For those that missed my comments yesterday, this was Sam Brownback in front of the Johnson County Courthouse, where this decree was issued, announcing he would fight gay marriage.
The action starts at about the 14:30 minute point. Knowing now that he was making that announcement just feet from where it would all be undone 26 hours later is just.. nice.
Finn Bullers chases him near the end. And it's CLASSIC. To see a governor chased by a man in a wheelchair who had to sue to get coverage.
