As if people wouldn't notice. As if doing such a thing could possibly happen without people who actually heard the President's State of the Union this week standing up and saying - "Who do they think they are fooling here?"
Well, besides their own very well fooled and pandered too Wingnut Constituency that is?
It appears that the House GOP took the time to edit out portions of the President's State of the Union which specifically discussed Climate Change before they posted on John Beohner's Official Youtube Channel. They left in the bit about "I've run my last campaign. I know because I won both them", even though we all know they'd like to erase those facts, they apparently just could not resist the urge to try and erase these and let them slip own the memory hole.

At the 43:25 minute mark, President Obama is supposed to say “I’ve heard some folks try to dodge the evidence by saying they’re not scientists; that we don’t have enough information to act. Well, I’m not a scientist, either. But you know what — I know a lot of really good scientists at NASA, and NOAA, and at our major universities. The best scientists in the world are all telling us that our activities are changing the climate, and if we do not act forcefully, we’ll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict, and hunger around the globe.”
That's what all of America and all the World heard the President say. But that's not what the GOP apparently heard - or rather
wants people to hear.
Instead, in GOP-World, all the above of omitted and Obama's comments skip to:
“The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security. We should act like it.”
And sadly, that's not all. Cross the flip to read more.
Continued.
At the 44:51 minute mark, a section is missing where Obama spoke of respecting “human dignity,” prohibiting torture, and speaking out against anti-Semitism. The section that is missing reads as follows: “As Americans, we respect human dignity, even when we’re threatened, which is why I’ve prohibited torture, and worked to make sure our use of new technology like drones is properly constrained. It’s why we speak out against the deplorable anti-Semitism that has resurfaced in certain parts of the world.”
So apparently not only is the GOP in favor of rising seas, stronger heat waves, droughts and floods across the globe - they're also
pro-Torture, against Human Dignity, against constraining the use of drones and Pro-Anti-Semitism.
Either that or somebody at the High Politburo of the House GOP has got some very serious technical issues with their use of Final Cut Pro.
I'm just saying, it's either one or the other. Although both isn't out of the realm of possibilities either. With some practiced and experienced Liars you never can truly know.

4:55 PM PT: Or perhaps it was just a complete accident - or something. via comments.
Boehner’s Press Secretary Michael Steel told ThinkProgress Wednesday afternoon that the video edits were not intentionally made. “It was inadvertent.” Steel said via e-mail. “We are working with YouTube to figure out what happened.” This post has been updated to reflect that rebuttal.
Working with YouTube to find out what happened? I've used youtube quite a bit, and honestly
nothing like that has ever happened to anything I've posted. What happened is someone edited out those statements, that's what happened. Just how is must have been "inadvertent" that James Inhofe, the freshly minted Chairman of the Senate Environment Committee went on a
10 Minute Rant on how "Climate Change is a Hoax" right after the Senate Voted 98-1 that
Climate Change is Not A Hoax.
Because...well, the Derp is strong with that one.
5:27 PM PT: I admit I didn't take the time to actually watch all of the GOP's version of the video, but just looking at the static screen shot I notice they did edit it by adding little blurbs to the left of the President which are intended to rebut his claims. I actually watched the SOTU Live on the White House YouTube channel and the did the reverse, they used the right side of the screen to backup and bolster what he was saying. It might be interesting to go back and examine just how accurate these counter claims truly are - for example the one shown in the still shot for the video claims that the CBO stated "1 Million People" would lose their jobs if the minimum wage were increased. As you can guess, the CBO literally did not say that unless you look at absolute worst case scenario...
Once fully implemented in the second half of 2016, the $10.10 option would reduce total employment by about 500,000 workers, or 0.3 percent, CBO projects (see the table below). As with any such estimates, however, the actual losses could be smaller or larger; in CBO’s assessment, there is about a two-thirds chance that the effect would be in the range between a very slight reduction in employment and a reduction in employment of 1.0 million workers.
While ignoring all the positive potential effects they noted.
. Once the increases and decreases in income for all workers are taken into account, overall real income would rise by $2 billion.
. Real income would increase, on net, by $5 billion for families whose income will be below the poverty threshold under current law, boosting their average family income by about 3 percent and moving about 900,000 people, on net, above the poverty threshold (out of the roughly 45 million people who are projected to be below that threshold under current law).
. Families whose income would have been between one and three times the poverty threshold would receive, on net, $12 billion in additional real income. About $2 billion, on net, would go to families whose income would have been between three and six times the poverty threshold.
On net, even when you subtract the lost earnings of those who might lose their jobs, on the whole
Incomes would Rise even for people who may be as much as 3 to 6 times above the Poverty Line and about
900,000 would be lifted above the Poverty Line.
The GOP would rather you only focus on the negative, and then only the very worse case version of the negative which is actually twice as bad as what CBO really projected - a scenario that is about as likely as their being a zero job loss which would reflect the opposite side of the probability bell curve - while ignoring any and all of the good and positive effects they also said that raising the minimum wage would create.
Like I said before - Liars.
