NOTE: This series is not connected to the Chafee for President campaign, but is a service designed to raise awareness of Lincoln Chafee's quest for the presidency.
While the daily Sanders and Clinton reports are all fine and dandy, I think we are remiss in not covering what the Lincmeister is up to on a daily basis. Okay, so maybe a
daily Linc report is not really necessary since not much is happening on the Linc front, but for those of us who are big Linc fans and believe that, eventually, Democratic voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina will see that Linc is
"The best choice for a better tomorrow," (I made that up, but I think he should adopt it), the "Daily Linc" will serve as a clearinghouse for all things Linc.
NOTE: You may want to visit Vol I Issue I published on August 4 to see what Linc had been up to until that point.
Without further ado, here is the latest Linc News!
Chafee making major inroads in Iowa and New Hampshire
Lincoln Chafee, former Governor and Senator from Rhode Island, seems to have struck gold in Iowa and New Hampshire, soaring to 1% in recent Iowa polls from 0%, and nearly doubling his New Hampshire showing to almost 2%. Chafee's Iowa campaign manager, [TBD], said, ["TBD"].
In New Hampshire, long-time Chafee friend and one-time Exeter school board member, Flip Skiperson, noted that "Linc is on the move here in the Granite State. His numbers continue to move up, albeit, slowly, but he is cutting into Hillary's lead."
Skiperson also noted Chafee's busy campaign schedule in New Hampshire following a Labor Day break in which Chafee will sail his 68-foot racing sloop to its winter dry dock location in Newport, Rhode Island.
"Linc is scheduled to be in New Hampshire for five days through mid-September," Skiperson said. "He has events scheduled at several diners and community centers throughout the state. We have RSVPs from more than a handful of folks at this point, and we expect that number to nearly double."
In other news, Linc was mentioned on CNN the other day. Here's a transcript:
HOST: Any word on what the other Democratic contenders have been doing in New Hampshire?
REPORTER: I saw Jim Webb changing a tire on his minivan yesterday. Last Thursday, I ran into Lincoln Chafee at a nail salon in Nashua.
HOST: Visiting diners, barber shops, hair salons and nail salons is all part of the retail campaigning that makes the New Hampshire primaries so fascinating.
REPORTER: Oh, he wasn't visting the nail salon. He was getting his cuticles trimmed and in order. They looked great!

Linc blasts climate change skeptics!
Chafee: "It's hot and getting hotter"
Democratic presidential candidate, former governor and senator, Lincoln Chafee, blasted climate change skeptics today by noting that the world is getting hotter and will continue to get hotter until we address major climate issues.
"These people who want to deny man-made climate change are just not that bright," Chafee said during an appearance at Pirate Cove Book Shoppe in Milford.
One man in the audience (actually, the only audience member) interrupted Chafee's remarks by shouting "Climate change is a hoax!"
Chafee asked the man if he had read recent climate science reports that prove that the world is getting warmer and will continue to warm unless we slow and eventually stop the atmospheric effects of burning fossil fuels.
"It's a hoax!" the man shouted while waving the Gadsden flag, emblematic of the Tea Party movement.
A downcast Chafee turned and walked out of the book shop, telling a local reporter that "I'm realizing there are an awful of of really, really stupid people in America."
That wraps up today's report. Look for further
