Kim Davis, free. For now.
Judge David Bunning, who put Kim Davis in jail for contempt of court for refusing to follow his order to do her job and approve marriage licenses, has
ordered her release from jail, with a few conditions.
Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples. If Defendant Davis should interfere in any way with their issuance, that will be considered a violation of this Order and appropriate sanctions will be considered.
To enforce that, Bunning is also ordering that the five clerks who are issuing licenses to file reports with him every two weeks to ensure their compliance.
This is really going to wreck Mike Huckabee's and Ted Cruz's jail cell photo-ops.
