Introduction: Hiding in Plain Sight
Many people get fascinated with conspiracy theories.
Their claims go something like this:
There is,
behind the regular news,
behind the regular history,
hidden news,
a hidden history of civilization.
Two problems with that:
1. If the information is so well hidden,
how did you get it?
And,
now that you've told me,
it certainly isn't hidden any more!
2. There are bigger things,
much bigger,
hiding in plain sight.
This book is about the biggest disaster
that has ever faced humankind,
if you measure the size of a disaster by sheer numbers.
And this one is hiding in plain sight.
To understand the cause of this disaster,
all we need to do
is look at two things,
both common knowledge,
both hiding in plain sight,
and put the two together.
The first thing is:
America produces and distributes nearly all it's food,
enough food to export 35 percent of our crops,
and still feed 320 million people,
all that food,
produced and distributed,
using diesel engine equipment,
burning lots of diesel fuel.
The second thing is:
Every oil well runs dry,
and all the oil wells of the world,
collectively,
will run dry,
in the foreseeable future.
When we put those two irrefutable common knowledge facts together,
we have a terrible famine,
killing as many as ninety nine percent of Americans,
and varying numbers of folks world wide.

Click on the link,
and look at the John Deere tractor.
It uses diesel fuel.
It's hiding in plain sight.
170.4 U.S. gal.
That's the capacity of the fuel tank.

Click on the link,
and see the end of plentiful oil.
It's hiding in plain sight.
Thus, if the USGS mean resource estimate proves to be correct, if 2 percent production growth continues until peak production is reached, and if production then declines at an R/P ratio of 10, world conventional crude oil production would be expected to peak in 2037 at a volume of 53.2 billion barrels per year.
If you click on the link,
you will see the graph,
which shows the worldwide output of crude oil will drop very fast,
so that by 2050,
the volume will be at 1975 levels,
and by 2060,
at 1960 levels.
Very little oil
means very little diesel fuel for the tractors, trucks, and trains,
which means very little food,
produced and distributed in America.
Which means most Americans will die at that time.
All this information
is hiding in plain sight.
Thanks for reading.
My next installment will be,
part three,
which will include Chapter One,
The Two Phases of the Industrial Revolution.
Thanks for reading.
