If you needed more proof that the House Intelligence Committee Investigation into the Trump-Russia connections IS A SHAM — then look no further than this.
GOP want to punish the Leakers — Not the Leakees.
Funny when this Shoe was on the DNC Foot — they were singing a differnt tune then; which as I recall went something like this: “Wikileaks can do no wrong … Wikileaks is not the Bad guy here.”
NOW they are singing a decidedly different “Leaky Tune” ...

Republicans' concern: Leaks about the FBI investigation and Flynn's calls to Russian ambassador
LA Times — March 20, 2017
[...]
Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) pushed FBI Director James B. Comey and National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers to explain how details from Flynn's phone calls with Sergey Kislyak, Russia's ambassador to the United States, were made public.
[...]
“I thought it was against the law to disseminate classified information. Is it?” said Gowdy.
He appeared particularly irked that Flynn's name was made public in news accounts that said U.S. spy agencies had picked up Flynn's conversations while they targeted the Russian diplomat.
These GOP reps are more worried about protecting the President, than they are the Constitution (as their public Oath of Office requires them to do).
Apparently, they are not at all worried about the timing or content of those Kislyak conversations; nor are they concerned about the other participants involved in this back-channel “shadow” diplomacy (BEFORE Trump even took office).
Well perhaps they should be.

Michael Flynn, then Donald Trump’s incoming national security adviser, had a previously undisclosed meeting with the Russian ambassador in December to “establish a line of communication” between the new administration and the Russian government, the White House said Thursday.
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and now a senior adviser, also participated in the meeting at Trump Tower with Flynn and Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador.

The meeting in December came at a crucial time, just as the Obama White House was preparing to sanction Russia and publicly make its case that Moscow had interfered with the 2016 election.
“They generally discussed the relationship, and it made sense to establish a line of communication,” she said [Hope Hicks, a White House spokeswoman]. “Jared has had meetings with many other foreign countries and representatives — as many as two dozen other foreign countries’ leaders and representatives.”
If you have wondered WHY the State Dept has been demoted to bench-warmer status, this is it. Jared Kushner has been appointed the back-channel conduit to “personally” handle all Trump International Business ...
Funny, I don’t remember Jared Kushner, Trump’s personal envoy, having to face an “advise and consent” panel of Senators — before he got this extremely sensitive, and previously “high-profile” type of job … do you?
…
How convenient!
For vested interests — on both sides of the Deal — that Jared will be flying below the public scrutiny radar, and any formal or financial forms of public accountability.
Welcome to cronism Nepotism, at its worst, people. The Trump USA now is it.
And the GOP Congress couldn’t give a wit — in fact, they tacitly condone it, with every “cover-up” action they take.
