Americans, republican, democrat & independent are equally unhappy. We have all, 99%, been getting the short end of the prosperity stick for over 100 years. Our wages have stagnated, healthcare is screwing us, education is putting us in paralyzing debt, on and on. Each election cycle parties put up their anointed candidate and he/she sings “I’m here for the people, middleclass, poor, minorities, etc.” After 4 or 8 years we look at the ledger and realize we are still treading water. I still get the shitty expensive health insurance, my wage is still worth 2% less every year, college education for children would require a second mortgage, on and on. Meanwhile the 1% is doing better and better. And the rich got richer with Obama or Trump.
Trump taught us. His 50% unhappy, republicans, loved he wasn’t the anointed candidate. The James Carville’s of the republican party were losing their minds before he became the candidate. And after. His outsideness is what carried him. Like the democrat’s Americans, the republican's Americans had been getting screwed by their party’s candidates. The fact Trump was rejected by the establishment is what won him the candidacy and the general election. Clinton was the ultimate insider. No republican would vote for her and the disenfranchised democrats, who had been promised the sun, moon and stars by a succession of anointed candidates, only to stagnate, wouldn’t get out of bed to vote for her.
James Carville, CNN, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Clintons, etc. all are powerful because the party machinery lets them benefit. Bernie is freaking them out because their power, paycheck, special treatment, etc. is going to be flushed down the toilet. We are going to learn how the party, and their anointed choice, means diddly squat. When Bernie wins they are toast and Americans will finally get someone who knows change. Good change. Hence, Carville’s rage and panic.
Democrats and Independents, some republicans will vote for Bernie and not care a crap that the party didn’t anoint him. Like the Trump voters, we will reward him for not being the same piece of wet dirt we get year in and year out. I pray he never has a “D” before his name. Always an “I.” So the next time someone wrings their hands and says “this is suicide...America isn’t ready for a socialist” tell them to stop eating the crap the establishment is force-feeding. If it isn’t Bernie, get use to saying “President Trump” for the next four years.
